Latest News - May

I think I was being too aggressive with trying to write four novels at once.  I've had to slow down and cut it back to one.  Yes one. lol

Each story deserves as much time and attention as possible to make it pop, sing, dance, float, cry, and smile.

So at the moment, I'm focusing one story - of which I keep changing the title.  I won't know which title to go with until I look at a couple of book cover mock ups.

In addition, I was selected as the author of the month of the Sovereign Queenz Book Club.  Needless to say, I am honored and shocked!  They sought me out and I feel it is a privilege to have them read Church Chick. Here is the link to their website with the author spotlight:  SQBC - Michelle Carey

I think it's interesting that Church Chick has been lumped in with some urban fiction books.  Church Chick is not book that hits upon street life.  It more of a coming of age story.  To me, it's a light and easy read with some interesting twists and turns.  I enjoyed it as a screenplay and I've enjoyed even more as novel - especially when I've added some things to the book that are not in the screenplay.

Now it's back to writing.....staking my legacy for the future....

Latest News

As of late, I've been working on four stories - at once.  It's a lot, but it allows me to not feel stuck to one story.  I'm able to jump around and not get bored with one particular story.  It allows me to keep my mind sharp.  It allows me to stop on one thing - put it down and then go back to it in a couple of days.  But I feel like I'm keeping everything moving because I'm working on another story.  I'm still writing.

Here are the working titles for the four stories:

1.  Blair X (This is the sequel to Church Chick, and I'm pretty much settled on this title. Here is the book cover.  The novel is plotted out.  And I've written about three chapters.)

2.  Jinxed (This was formally titled In The Zone.  Based off my screenplay - In The Zone.  I may go back to In The Zone.  I don't know yet. I'm about half way finished with this book.)

3.  Diary (This was a late minute story.  Something I just thought of one night - and I plotted it out.  This is something I work on here and there.  It's an interesting story.)

4.  Senior Year (This is the first novel out of my YA books - The South River High Series.  As with Diary, I work on it here and there.  I have to remember how it is to be a teenager/young adult again. lol The mindset.)

My goal is to have these books out late 2012 and early 2013. :-)  Aggressive!

First Post.

I've had this blog since August 2011 and this is my first post.  I've been at a lost about what I wanted to write.  I had another Blogger blog for years and I moved all my posts to my blog on my website.   Then I started my Tumblr blog about two weeks before this one and it has over 350 posts.  Go figure.  It's a different kind of set up.

I think I will dedicate this blog about my adventures in becoming a successful novelist, screenwriter, and poet.  I'm a published poet, I've written screenplays - no options, and I've now completed my first novel based on one of my screenplays.  I would say I'm well on my way.

Here's to What's Endless & writing.

My first novel:
